McLane Point Preserve:
25 Acres on the eastern side of the southern portion of Eld Inlet.
Conserved in 2002.

Half of this 25 acre property is protected through conservation easement, and the other half is a fee property. It contains abundant shoreline and tidal lands as well a small stream used by salmon for spawning purposes. The land is well covered by trees, primarily Douglas fir and Alder. The forest provides a great habitat for numerous flora and fauna species. Of special significance among these is a large Great Blue Heronry.

Laws change; people die; the land remains.
