Spurgeon Valley Preserve:
40 Acres in the Spurgeon Valley, and it shares a border with the eastern most boundary of the Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Donated in 2002.

The square shaped property straddles part of a long narrow east-west running wetland. The northern and southern portions that border this wetland are composed of primarily old growth coniferous forest. The entire property is considered to be viable spotted owl habitat.

A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.
