Stephens Preserve:
22 Acres adjacent to the west side
of Woodard Creek.
Donated in 2002.
The property’s stream
system is used by coho and chum salmon and sea-run
cutthroat trout. The stream channel is bordered by a
wide flood plain wetland. Excellent habitat is present,
consisting of a dense, diverse structure of deciduous
shrubs and trees. Moderate-aged conifer forest covers
the majority of upland ground, and mature cedar occur on
the slopes nearest the creek corridor.
