Willits Conservation Easement:
65 Acres located on the Steamboat Island Peninsula.
Conserved in 1998.

The property includes agricultural lands, wetlands and forests. The conservation easement covers land adjacent to an existing conservation easement donated to the National Resource Conservation Service.  The property consists of diverse wildlife habitat. There is a good mix of deciduous and coniferous trees, with varied dominate sizes, ages and species within and between stands.

He who knows what sweets and virtues are in the ground, the waters, the plants, the heavens, and how to come at these enchantments, is the rich and royal man.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
